Over three weeks, participants will delve into the principles and frameworks that guide monitoring efforts, gain practical tools to evaluate progress using reliable indicators and data sources, and apply these techniques to real-world scenarios. With a focus on thematic areas like education, health, and child protection, the course empowers professionals to ensure accountability and drive meaningful change for children.

Course Overview.

WEEK 1: Introduction to Children's Rights Monitoring Frameworks

Explore international frameworks, legal instruments, and key principles that underpin effective monitoring of children’s rights.

WEEK 2: Indicators and Data Sources for Monitoring Children's Rights

Learn to identify, select and apply indicators and data sources to monitor and evaluate the implementation of children’s rights effectively.

WEEK III: Practical Application Using Thematic Clusters 

Apply monitoring tools and frameworks to real-world scenarios, focusing on thematic clusters like education, health, and child protection to generate actionable insights.

Dr. Anita Ramsak, founder of ARSIC Social Impact Consulting, brings decades of expertise to this course series. With experience working across four continents and collaborating with global organizations like UNICEF and Save the Children, Dr. Ramsak is a leading expert in the field of children;s rights. She has advised governments, authored UN child rights monitoring reports, and supported a number of programs to safeguard the rights of vulnerable children worldwide. She is based between Kenya and Indonesia, operating globally.
