    Part of ARSIC Child Rights Online Course Series
    This skills-based course focuses on practical tools and methodologies for integrating child rights into programming, monitoring, and evaluation. Participants will learn how to design, implement, and evaluate child rights-based projects, ensuring their work is inclusive, effective, and rights-based. The emphasis will be on the skills needed in the consultancy setting. Priority enrollment will be given to participants attending the Foundation Course

    Ideal for professionals seeking to learn or deepen their understanding of key aspects of children’s rights and their practical application in their everyday work. 

         Duration

    12 weeks with 9 engaging sessions and 3 practice weeks, organized into three comprehensive modules.

    Group Size

    Designed for an intimate group of 10 - 20 participants to ensure personalized attention and interaction.

    Purpose

    Beyond imparting knowledge, our course aims to inspire and motivate you to integrate children’s rights into your work, regardless of your sector of work. 

    Interactive Methodology

    Highly interactive, building on participants’ existing knowledge and experiences. You will engage in dynamic discussions, hands-on activities, and real-world case studies. 

    Course Overview.

    12 weeks organized in 3 modules, 9-weeklong interactive sessions, 3 optional practice weeks

    Module I: Monitoring Children's Rights 

    Week 1:  Introduction to Children's Rights Monitoring Frameworks

    Week 2: Indicators and Data Sources for Monitoring Children's Rights

    Week 3:
     Practical Application Using Thematic Clusters

    Module II: Child Rights-Based Programming and Project Design

    Week 5: Understanding and Implementing a Rights-Based Approach

    Meet our Facilitator.

    Passionate about human and child rights, Dr. Anita Ramsak is the driving force behind the Child Rights Practitioner Course. With extensive experience spanning four continents and over 20 countries, while collaborating with institutions such as the United Nations, governments, and non-profit organizations, Dr. Ramsak has collected a wealth of experience working in the field of child rights.  

    Among other things, she has advised several governments in developing effective child protection systems and authored several child rights monitoring reports for United Nations mechanisms. She has also worked with UN agencies to ensure the safety of migrant children and carried out several evaluations and designs of international projects and programs for renowned organizations like UNICEF and Save the Children.

    Equipped with a Ph.D. in Social Sciences, a Master's in Human Rights, and a Bachelor's in Communication Sciences, Dr. Ramsak brings a well-rounded academic background to the course. Currently based in Indonesia and Kenya, she operates at the local, regional, and global levels, enriching the course with diverse perspectives.
