This course explores the critical role of the private sector in upholding and advancing children’s rights. Participants will gain an understanding of corporate responsibility trends and their implications for children, learn strategies to integrate children’s rights into business practices, and develop skills to conduct child-rights impact assessments. Over three weeks, the course combines practical tools and real-world examples to empower professionals, advocates, and business leaders to create child-friendly and rights-focused corporate environments.

WEEK 1: Trends in Corporate Responsibility and Children’s Rights

Explore emerging trends in corporate responsibility and their impact on children’s rights, including global frameworks, standards, and real-world examples of corporate engagement.

WEEK 2:
 Integrating Children’s Rights into Business Practices

Learn practical strategies for embedding children’s rights into business policies, operations, and supply chains, fostering ethical and rights-focused practices.

WEEK III: Creating Child-Friendly Business Practices

Focus on how businesses can design ethical supply chains, workplaces, products, and services that prioritize children’s rights. Explore real-world examples and innovative approaches to fostering environments that support children and their communities.

Dr. Anita Ramsak, founder of ARSIC Social Impact Consulting, brings decades of expertise to this course series. With experience working across four continents and collaborating with global organizations like UNICEF and Save the Children, Dr. Ramsak is a leading expert in the field of children;s rights. She has advised governments, authored UN child rights monitoring reports, and supported a number of programs to safeguard the rights of vulnerable children worldwide. She is based between Kenya and Indonesia, operating globally.
