This course provides participants with the knowledge and tools to integrate child rights principles into programming and project design. Participants will learn how to develop projects that prioritize children's rights, align with international frameworks, and respond to real-world challenges. Through interactive sessions and practical exercises, the course explores needs assessments, stakeholder engagement, rights-based approaches, and monitoring for impact. Ideal for practitioners, advocates, and project managers aiming to create sustainable, rights-focused initiatives.

Course Overview.

WEEK 1: Understanding and Implementing a Rights-Based Approach

Explore the fundamentals of a rights-based approach, focusing on its principles, practical implementation, and alignment with child rights frameworks.







WEEK 2: Designing Child Rights-Based Programs

Learn to create programs that prioritize children's rights, emphasizing participatory methods, rights-based analysis tools, and strategies that engage duty bearers and empower rights holders.

WEEK III: From Implementation to Monitoring

Gain practical skills to implement and monitor child rights-based programs, focusing on participatory implementation, accountability mechanisms, and measuring impact to ensure rights are upheld.

Dr. Anita Ramsak, founder of ARSIC Social Impact Consulting, brings decades of expertise to this course series. With experience working across four continents and collaborating with global organizations like UNICEF and Save the Children, Dr. Ramsak is a leading expert in the field of children;s rights. She has advised governments, authored UN child rights monitoring reports, and supported a number of programs to safeguard the rights of vulnerable children worldwide. She is based between Kenya and Indonesia, operating globally.
