This course explores the intersection of new technologies, online safety, and children’s digital rights, equipping participants with the knowledge and tools to navigate and leverage the digital landscape responsibly. Over three weeks, participants will examine trends in digital access and safety, analyze the impact of technology on rights implementation, and identify opportunities to promote and protect children’s rights in the digital age. Ideal for professionals, educators, and advocates seeking to enhance their understanding of digital rights and safety.

Course Overview.

WEEK 1: Trends in Digital Access and Online Safety

Explore current trends in digital access, online behaviors, and safety concerns, with a focus on risks and opportunities for children in the digital space.






WEEK 2: Implications for Rights Implementation

Analyze how digital technologies impact the implementation of children’s rights, addressing challenges like privacy, exploitation, and equitable access.

WEEK III: Opportunities for Children’s Rights Promotion with New Technologies

Discover how emerging technologies can be leveraged to promote and protect children’s rights, fostering innovation and advocacy in the digital age.

Meet Facilitator.

Dr. Anita Ramsak, founder of ARSIC Social Impact Consulting, brings decades of expertise to this course series. With experience working across four continents and collaborating with global organizations like UNICEF and Save the Children, Dr. Ramsak is a leading expert in the field of children;s rights. She has advised governments, authored UN child rights monitoring reports, and supported a number of programs to safeguard the rights of vulnerable children worldwide. She is based between Kenya and Indonesia, operating globally.
